July 24th – 25th 2021
It was a hot weekend with some great on-track action. Friday night was tech and everyone had a great time meeting each other. There was a large presence from Midwest Division. We had a great turnout from the Oklahoma Region: Austin Covey, Jeremy Ussery, Mark Grissom & son Cody, and Tyler Doty. Plans are already in the works to have another event at Hallett next year!
Saturday: There were some nerves as the Hallett isn’t normally run CW. This resulted in times improving throughout the day, even when the temps started rising near 100°F. After the racing was done for the day, AVRG hosted a dinner for everyone at the track. It was a lot of fun talking shop and getting to know members from different regions.

Sunday: It started a little warm and with only two timed sessions, everyone was on their game. The first session was interrupted by an incident causing it to be cut short. The day ended around 2:30 and everyone was able to hit the road. Some drivers had a 7 hr. drive in front of them.
